Ricardo Pau-Llosa, who had a poem in Rattle #22, appeared on PBS’s NewsHour last week. Click here to view the segment with Jim Lehrer, and a reading of some of Ricardo’s poems.

I didn’t realize how many features of poets NewsHour has done in the last year and a half. Check out all these videos.

I noticed in Monday’s Poetry Daily newsletter that frequent Rattle contributor Diane Lockward is going to be featured there this Friday. Don’t know what the poem is going to be, but check it out. Diane’s “Love Song with Plum” from Rattle #28 was our poem of the day on Tuesday. She’s also appeared in #’s 11, 16, 22, and 26, and her recent book What Feeds Us was featured in our Spring 2008 e-Issue. We must really like her work!

You might have already seen this, but I posed a long list of new books available for review the other day at Rattle.com. Most of these books came in over the last few weeks — a few, I’m ashamed to admit, are books that I wanted to read myself first, and so had smuggled home, thinking I’d read them quick before adding to the online list. But nothing happens quick around here, so there was more of a delay than I intended. Please help assuage my guilt by requesting a book or two to review.

There are some great ones, including new books by Eavan Boland, Elizabeth Spires, Ellen Bryant Voigt, and past Rattle contributors Jon Pineda, Roy Jacobstein, Karen Braucher, and Doug Holder. Don’t let them go to waste, sitting in a stack under my desk.

Finally, just another reminder that the deadline for the Rattle Poetry Prize is tomorrow!
