Greatest Generation at the North Pole
Posted by Tim under Uncategorized
As I type this, editor-in-chief Alan Fox and his father Fred are crammed into a small plane on their way to the North Pole. At 92, Fred will appear in the Guiness Book of Records as the oldest man ever to set foot on either pole.
The “vacation” is six days round trip. Weather-permitting, they’ll walk around the ice cap and take photographs for about an hour, in temperatures that look to be about -20 degrees F. They brought a cutout Santa and an inflatable flamingo to pose with. Read more, and see a little video here.
